Rank structure
Our guild relies on all our members taking responsibility for their play time, and we encourage everyone to make fun events and projects for the guild to enjoy. However, some guild members have chosen to take on more responsibilities, and have ranks accompanying those responsibilities.
Applicant
Players wishing to join the Seven Serpents should contact one of the officers and arrange a chat on Discord to see if we are what you are looking for. If you are still happy to join you will be invited as an Initiate.
Initiate
Initiate is the first rank newly invited players receive. With this rank, the player must work on becoming a full member of the guild. This can be accomplished by collecting recommendations from the Members, Serpents and The Seven, and generally partaking in guild activities.
The Initiate period will last until Serpents recommend full promotion to member.
Member
Members are the core rank of the guild. While encouraged to create and run events and projects, it is not required of Members. However, they are expected to regularly participate in events and projects run by other guild members. Members can also write recommendations for our Initiates and see what questions Serpents ask to Applicants.
Serpent
Serpents form a circle of veteran guild members that have invested considerable time and effort into and are active in the community. They serve as approachable group especially for new initiates. They encourage even participation and when no suitable events are occurring, create them to help new members get to the know the community. In this capacity they are also role model members and fully embrace the core values of the community.
Serpents are promoted at the officer’s discretion and upon recommendations from members who have felt that someone has had a substantial, long term, positive impact on the community as a whole.
Co-ordinators
Co-ordinators are the foundation of community leadership and each look after a specific important part of the community.
Some of our Co-ordinators lead our core WoW projects such as the Mythic+ Madness project and Raiding project. Other Co-ordinators are responsible for community aspects of the guild such as Discord server and Tabletop RPG project.
Officers and the Guild Master
The officers and the GM look after the direction of the community as a whole and ensures the community is working for everyone and constantly improving.
